Frequently Asked Questions

  • Doctor’s Referral?

In most cases a Doctor’s referral is not required for physiotherapy.

A medical referral is only required if:

    - You have been injured at work and your case is being managed by Workcover.

    - Your treatment is covered by Veteran Affairs.

    - You are claiming expenses through Transport Accident Commission.

    - You are wanting to claim a rebate through Medicare (EPC/Care Plan).

  • Can I claim on my private health cover?

If you have private health cover with ‘Extras’, you will be able to claim part of the fee as a rebate. Most funds are online with HICAPS which allows you to claim your health fund rebate at our clinic, leaving only the gap to pay.

  • Can I claim through Medicare?

Physiotherapy is generally not covered by Medicare. However, if you have a chronic condition (present for more than 6 months) and complex care needs, you may be eligible to get an EPC/Care Plan through your G.P. You will then be able to claim the Medicare rebate for up to 5 visits per calendar year.

  • Is there parking available?

There is plenty of car parking available right in front of the clinic. We also have the Woolworths car park behind us.
